Desmond Amoah better known as Dee Moneey (born on 13 March 1993) is one of the most vibrant hip-hop artiste from Ghana. Dee Moneey has established himself as a force to reckon with when it comes to hip-hop and Afro-pop music in West Africa. From a young age, Dee Moneey travelled around the world with his parents exposing him to different cultures, people and music. This influenced him to start his music journey; he began performing locally without the knowledge of his parents, who wanted him to focus on his education. During his secondary school days, Dee Moneey, whose dream was to become the next ”Michael Jordan” continued with his musical escapades as he performed cover versions to entertain his schoolmates as well as those in other schools.

In 2006, his love for music grew deeper and he realised he had surpassed his aspirations to be a basketball star and decided to pursue music professionally. For three years, he pursued his music dream independently and has since worked hard to establish his own music label called 'Militant Mindz Records'.

In 2010, he released with his debut commercial single “Kpokpo O Body”, which was an instant hit. In spite of this smashing hit, Dee Moneey was not spared from harsh criticism as certain industry figures perceived him as being too young to make music. This, however, did not deter him, as he continued to churn out hits. He’s released songs like 'Money Talks' featuring Kwaw kesse, 'Don't Say' featuring Shaydee, 'Finish Line ft sarkodie & Jtown, Fuse ODG titled 'Marilyn Monroe' just to mention a few.   Dee Moneey has also performed on huge platforms across the globe such as the 'Fabulous in Ghana' concert, 'Rick Ross in Ghana' concert, 'Miss Malaika Beauty Pageant '12', 'Ghana Music Awards '11' and in 2012, he went on tour with Chocolate City artist Ice Prince in the UK performing at the IndigO2.
