CoolKid shows off more heavy hitting sequences with Abigail

Red Bull Battle Grounds was the final opportunity on the road to Capcom Cup for players to clinch a spot in the prestigious event, and saw the eight strongest fighters in North American battled it out with fiery passion.

Among them were PG|Punk, Liquid|NuckleDu, PIE|Smug, FOX|Justin Wong, BxA|CoolKid93, Strider, Brian_F and Idom.

We've gone back through the footage to grab some of the most memorable moments from today's event, and have them here to share with you as highlights.

Our first highlights take us to the winners bracket bout between Idom and FOX|Justin Wong.

Widely regarded as the strongest Laura in the world right now, Idom played perfectly on Justin's tendency to avoid strikes as opposed to command grabs. As a result he wound up eating six in a row, which takes care of Karin's entire HP life bar.

Having conditioned his opponent, Idom steam rolled right through the following round:

We jump next to the intense bout between BxA|CoolKid93 and Strider. With his back to the wall, CoolKid simply jumps to escape the corner, then shifts into high gear to destroy his foe with Abigail damage:

It almost happened again the round after, but Strider is a pro, and showcased his ability to adapt on the spot:

Justin Wong tried to pull out some tricky Ed play against the reigning champion, NuckleDu. It didn't go too well:

After a quick loss with Ed, Justin switched over to his main character, Karin. Though Du would go up in health and threaten to send Justin home right then and there, Justin held on for at least one more game with a slick comeback. He did the same in the following game:

Moving to NuckleDu vs. Smug, the latter threatened to go up with one more successful touch from his powerhouse Balrog. NuckleDu surprised everyone with a crazily placed EX Giant Swing to steal the round:
